ASU Newport - Workforce Training Solutions

This 45-hour hybrid course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to operate in a manufacturing 4.0 environment. The first 30 hours of this course is delivered online and the remaining hours are delivered in a lab setting.  The online modules are self-paced.

Course content will include Quality Control and Inspection; Lean manufacturing – inventory, workflow, and distribution; Machine Controls – Robotics, CNC, PLC, HMI; Equipment Maintenance – preventative maintenance, electrical basics, fluid power concepts, and mechanical maintenance lubrication.

Manufacturing Essentials is a prerequisite for this course.  

*College credit can be awarded after a successful application has been made to the college.

This course is one of the 4 programs required to complete the Manufacturing Technician Program.
