THE PROGRAM  

Amatrol’s eLearning program creates easy access to educational opportunities for technical skill development previously restricted to the classroom. The material is self-paced, making it ideal for individual use, traditional class settings, or a blended approach. Amatrol’s proven curriculum is problem-solving oriented and teaches technical skills in a wide range of industrially-relevant technologies.

These courses fall into categories such as automation, electrical, fluid power, green energy, industry fundamentals, lean manufacturing, machining, manufacturing processes, materials, measurement & gauging, mechanical, prints & drawings, structural engineering, surveying, thermal & process control, quality, safety, workplace effectiveness, CNC machining operation and programming, and many others.

ASUN can work with you to create a customized program for your employees, whether it is onboarding, a progressive training program, ASUN can work to meet your training requirements.

ASUN has identified three stackable pathways to address the most common manufacturing occupations. These pathways are also customizable to your operation and can be supplemented with in-person instructor led training and assessment.

Manufacturing Orientation Program

The New Employee Orientation Program focuses on the foundational knowledge and skills needed to safely and productively begin work in a manufacturing environment. This program is an estimated 30 hours of instruction. The training content is completely customizable.  All assessments can be provided to the employer as employees progress through the program.

• Safety Basics: Hazard Communication, PPE, Industrial Truck Safety, LOTO, Hand Tool Safety, Power Tool Safety 
• Quality Basics: Dimensional Measurement, Measurement Conversion, Introduction to Print Reading
• Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing
• Basic Electrical
• Basic Mechanical
• Introduction to Fluid Power
• Hand tools 

Manufacturing Technician Program

The Manufacturing Technician Program is an employer driven, standards-based program that focuses on the foundational knowledge and skills needed to succeed in manufacturing.   This program is an estimated 60 hours of instruction.

• Manufacturing Concepts & Terminology  
• Basic Setup, Adjustment & Operation of Automated Machines
• Safety and Hand Tools
• Blueprint & Schematic Reading
• Precision Measurement
• Basic Electrical Control, Pneumatic, & Sensor Systems Operation
• Basic Robot Operation & Terminology
• Production Monitoring via HMI, Internet, Ethernet, & Smart Phones

Automated Line Operator Program

The automated line operator program provides the skills needed to analyze and modify automated production control systems. This program is appropriate for those who need the basic knowledge of factory floor controls, automation and programming. This program is an estimated 80 hours of instruction.

• Setup Adjustment, & Operation of Computer Controlled Machines
• Basic Programmable Controller Programming & Operation
• Basic Mechanical & Hydraulics System Operation & Adjustment
• Basic Mechatronic Systems Programming & Operation
• Basic Robotics & CNC Programming/Operation
• HMI Interface & Operation

Cost of the Program - $300

The Online Manufacturing Training Solutions Program is a customizable, self-paced curriculum that will be available up to six months from the course start date. The program includes a choice of one or more of the Online Manufacturing Training Programs, or we can create a custom program to meet your specific training needs In addition to eLearning, instructor led training and skill assessments can also be provided as an add-on service for an extra fee.
