This course is a great opportunity to learn in-demand skills for great paying careers. This course provides instruction on the repair, installation, adjustment, or maintenance of industrial production machinery with an emphasis on powered conveying equipment.

Students will gain skills in math, print reading, industrial hydraulics, mechanical maintenance, electrical safety, preventative maintenance, electrical schematics, AC circuits and transformers, DC circuits & fundamentals, motor controls, power supplies, and more.  

Students receive practical hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, fluid power, welding and software to enable students to work effectively in virtually any industrial environment. And because safety in an industrial environment is critical, students will learn and practice standard industrial safety practices and methods which support a safe workplace. 

This training will be delivered 2 days a week from 5:30 pm -7:30 pm October 2023 - June 2024.  Our instructors will use the Industry recognized training material, hands on simulation and instructors will administer tests to ensure subject matter is being understood and retained.  

Who Should Attend: Anyone who has a desire to service, install or maintian equipment. Prior military find great success in these types of roles. The most lucrative careers travel to locations across the US to service and install equipment.

This course is a Hybrid course, with in-person and online learning requirements. Students may complete the course sooner if they work at an advanced pace.

There is a critical need for employees with the skillset to install, service and maintain material handling equipment.  Those who complete the program will be interviewed for employment.  These high demand skills demand higher pay! The program is designed to meet the workforce needs of area employers.

Dates: Dates: October 3 – June 6, 2023 (No Classes on observed holidays)

Times/Days: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, Tuesdays & Thursdays

Registration Deadline: Two (2) weeks prior to class start date.  

Financial Aid Scholarship Available for This Course: Multiple sources of aid is available for this course. This course is approved for an Arkansas Workforce Challenge (AWC) Scholarship award (up to $800 per program) provided by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE). To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be 18 years old and be able to provide proof of high school completion (i.e. transcript, diploma, or GED equivalent, etc.).

Some students may be eligible for funding through the Career Pathways Initiative.  Career Pathways Initiative (CPI) serves current and former Transitional Employment Assistance (TEA) recipients, or TANF eligible students, currently or newly enrolled at one of the participating public two-year colleges in Arkansas or in a program administered by participating two-year colleges. You must be a parent or legal caretaker of a child under the age of 21. This includes custodial and noncustodial parents. Enrollment is dependent on availability of grant funds.

Students may also be eligible for funding through ASUN's Adult Education program.

What if I fail to apply the promo code?

If you fail to apply the promo code, your credit card will be charged the full course fee of $800.00 and reimbursement will be provided after the course is completed. For questions, call (870) 933-9788. 

APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIPS TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS WITHIN 30-45 DAYS OF CLASS.

Step 2: To receive the AWC scholarship for this training, you will need to apply for the Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship 30-45 days before the class begins. If you apply sooner than 45 days prior to class, you may have to re-submit your application! Upon completion of the application, you will be notified via email by ADHE, typically within 7-10 business days, that you have been offered the scholarship. You will need to accept the offer for the $800 award which covers part of your tuition. If the scholarship is not finalized, your $800 account balance is due within 30 days of the final day of class.
